Microsoft Management Summit 2007
Next week, from 26th March through 30th March, the San Diego Convention Center will be hosting Microsoft's annual event around their System Center portfolio of products, called Microsoft Management Summit (MMS) 2007. Techlog will be flying out this weekend to do live reporting on the news that this summit will bring us. We expect some news around the RTM announcement of System Center Operations Manager 2007 and information on products like Code Name "Service Desk" and Data Protection Manager 2008. On Wednesday, we are also invited to a special roundtable session with Brad Anderson, General Manager in the Windows and Enterprise Management Division and Eric Berg, Director of Product Management, where we and a selected group of other industry bloggers will discuss current topics and trends in the (Microsoft) management space. While we do not now if this will be under NDA, we will try to provide as much info as possible. Other than that, Stefan Stranger and I will be conducting interviews with members of the Operations Manager product team and well-know professionals in the System Center field for the Dutch System Center User Group that we are setting up.
If you want to meet us, please drop me a line or spot us, wearing orange shirts with System Center User Group Netherlands on the back, around the event. We will probably also attending the TAP/RDP party that the Configuration Manager (formerly SMS) product team is giving on tuesday evening in the W Hotel San Diego (invite only). So, please check back next week for some exciting news!
